Principles and Functions of Sandblasting

Principles:

Sandblasting utilizes high-speed jets of abrasive particles to impact the surface of stamped sheet metal, removing oxide layers, impurities, and roughness, thereby achieving surface cleaning, increased roughness, and improved adhesion.

Functions:

(1) Removal of Oxide Layers and Impurities: Sandblasting effectively removes oxide layers, dirt, and impurities from the surface of stamped sheet metal, purifying the surface.

(2) Increased Surface Roughness: Sandblasting can increase the roughness of the stamped sheet metal surface to a certain extent, which is beneficial for the adhesion of subsequent treatments such as coatings and paints.

(3) Improved Surface Quality: Sandblasting can improve surface smoothness and flatness, making the surface more uniform and consistent.
